Sappho Darling (1968)
The movie opens with Sappho frolicking on a beach, quoting the Greek goddess Aphrodite.
A convertible driven by a knockout blonde appears on the scene - this is where Sappho meets Bridget.
The two hit it off, and we learn that Bridget has no place to stay .. Sappho immediately offers her housing.
There is only one bed at Sappho's place, which is not a problem as she proclaims "I'd love to share your bed with you."
We are then privy to the history of our heroines: Bridget recently worked as a Swedish masseuse "in the men's department, of course".
Sappho has an issue with men .. specifically one aspect: ".. that thing would grow and grow and tear me apart!"
As the movie progresses, Sappho is drawn back to her boyfriend, only to be distracted by thoughts of Bridget.
The movie ends with Sappho back at the beach, having to decide between the two - the result is quite unexpected!
